OmegaFi’s October release gives customers easier ways to manage finances and recruitment!
LEGFI HQ ORGANIZATION CONTROLS: NEW FEATURE ALERT
The LegFi HQ Controls feature gives inter/national headquarters users the ability to manage features across all chapter (secondary account) organizations. This allows HQ to set controls that either allow or restrict the use of specific features or editing access within various modules for chapter organizations.
By navigating to the Organizations menu > Organizations Manager and selecting Organization Controls, HQ can update permissions to either allow or deny access to certain features. Additionally, exceptions to both allow or deny on a per-chapter basis can be configured to adjust these permissions as needed. Some examples of features that can be managed here are:
- Add users
- Edit user demographic information
- Edit user joined information
- Edit user contact information
- Use school email address
- Add roles
- Assign roles
- Add organization logo
- Add invoices
- Add payments
- Use external bank accounts
- Member groups
LEGFI MENU UPDATES
We reorganized some menus in LegFi to be more intuitive and create a better user experience.
- We removed the Budgets and Reports menus and added a new Finances menu.
- Budgets, Chart of Accounts, and certain financial reports are now under the new Finances menu. (See below for info on more enhancements to Chart of Accounts.)
- Member-related reports are now under the Members menu.

LEGFI CHART OF ACCOUNTS ENHANCEMENTS
New Ledger Accounts
We enhanced LegFi’s Chart of Accounts offerings to now include categories for Assets, Liabilities, Equity and Default ledger accounts. (This is in addition to the Revenue and Expense categories already available.) All accounts and categories now pull into LegFi’s budget tool and financial reports. LegFi HQ Chart of Accounts Management
The new HQ Chart of Accounts template gives National Headquarters users the ability to create and manage ledger accounts and associated settings across their child/secondary organizations. LegFi HQ users have tools to create and easily maintain a synced Chart of Accounts across their child/secondary chapters. The shared Chart of Accounts also allows for consistent and succinct financial reporting across their organization.
When a parent/primary organization has an HQ Chart of Accounts template in place, there is an additional optional setting, called Syncing. Syncing ensures that the Chart of Accounts of their child/secondary organizations are the same. When sync is turned on, the child/secondary organization no longer can edit the Chart of Accounts and default ledger accounts. Additionally, administrators of new child/secondary accounts automatically have the Chart of Accounts recommended for use by their headquarters as a starting point when they on-board with LegFi. These settings make it easy for the chapter to adhere to the Chart of Accounts requirements set forth by their national headquarters.
To get started, administrators of the LegFi HQ/primary accounts can manage their organization’s chart of accounts under Organizations menu > Organization Manager button > Finances. Please also see this How To article for more information.
ICS IFC CUSTOMERS GET IMPROVED BID MATCHING FEATURES
We recently completed enhancements to ICS specifically for our Interfraternity Council (IFC) customers. IFC Advisors can now run bid matching even if all PNMs have not made selections. Once the bid matching runs, the Advisor can manually match PNMs under the Bid Matching menu > Step 2 > Make PNM Additions.

LegFi is getting more accounting enhancements! We are currently working on more financial and accounting reports, as well as improvements to account registers in LegFi.
