OmegaFi Names Bob McKenney as President, Aligns Leadership to Strengthen Product Development and Fraternal Support

Looking to the future and continuing its legacy of growth and service to the fraternity and sorority community, OmegaFi named Bob McKenney as President. McKenney has assumed the role, focusing on enhancing and expanding product and technology solutions for chapters, alumni associations, house corporations and inter/national organizations.

McKenney has been a key leader within the fraternal world for more than 20 years, known for his dedication to the community, reputation for delivering results, and genuine, authentic partnership. In this role, he will continue to lead Pennington & Company as its President, leveraging opportunities for synergy in service for fraternal clients. He started at Pennington early in his career, first serving as a capital campaign consultant and later leading the capital campaign department. He was named President in 2019, and under McKenney's leadership, Pennington has experienced significant growth in building national communication and campaign partnerships. As the leader in fraternity and sorority fundraising and alumni engagement, the firm has eclipsed more than $1.2 billion raised to support fraternities and sororities including a record $99 million raised in 2024.

McKenney’s commitment to the fraternal community, understanding of fraternity and sorority operations, and background in nonprofit board leadership and public service combine to make McKenney uniquely qualified to lead OmegaFi’s product evolution.

Talking about this transition, OmegaFi leadership shared

"Bob has been instrumental in shaping the way Greek organizations approach fundraising and engagement. His expertise in alumni relations, technology-driven solutions, and long-term strategy will help OmegaFi continue to deliver the most effective tools for the fraternal community. I’m thrilled Bob has agreed to take this on." - Noah Borenstein, General Manager at Togetherwork.

McKenney’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment in OmegaFi’s history, as the company continues to invest in enhancing its digital platforms, streamlining financial management tools, and expanding alumni and donor engagement solutions. His leadership will ensure OmegaFi remains at the forefront of technology and service for fraternal organizations.

Prior to his work with Pennington & Company, McKenney served as a program assistant for the University of Kansas fraternity and sorority life office, advising governing councils and guiding leadership development initiatives. He has remained deeply involved in the fraternity community through his service on the Alpha Tau Omega National Board of Directors, and he is active in his local community, recently concluding nine years of service as mayor
